The Met Office has discontinued its riverine flood alert.
In its public notice, it says major watercourses have been contained and are presenting a slow downward trend.
Furthermore, the rainfall anticipated today did not materialize and a gradual runoff is expected in areas with floodwaters.
Yesterday evening into the night areas such as Caroni, St. Helena and environs were hit with floods along roadways and into homes.
Today, there were floods in Valsayn, Caroni, Sangre Grande, Manzanilla among other areas.
