Repairs begin on collapsed Moruga Road

WASA officials are currently repairing a leaking underground pipeline that caused part of the Moruga Road in Indian Walk to collapse last night.

This caused the road to become impassable, and MP for the area Dr. Lovell Francis says its restoration will take a day after the leak is repaired.

The leak occurred in the vicinity of a current site where a landslip is being repaired.

The collapsed roadway has inconvenienced many in the area from going to work or school.

MP Francis meanwhile says the obvious solution is to place these lines above ground, though the authority says it is a difficult proposition.

He says though, this will be part of a longer discussion but WASA.
