Princes Town Regional Corporation Chairman Gowrie Roopnarine believes they have a water crisis especially in Tableland, which has been without a supply for over a month.

He says they have only been able to supply water trucking for two weeks to certain areas due to funds not being released on time.

Mr Roopnarine claims that residents are coming to the Corporation even in areas where WASA is responsible for distributing water.

Meanwhile Chairman of the Mayaro/Rio Claro Regional Corporation Glenn Ram says that area faces a similar problem which was heightened during the long Easter weekend, with many persons visiting Mayaro.

He claims this is mostly because a reduction in funds to the Corporation for water trucking, which was reduce from $1 million to $400,000 for the fiscal year.
