Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley and other government officials celebrated the Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi at the Vishwanath Mandir in Sangre Chiquito on Friday night.
Joining him was National Security Minister Stuart Young and Works & Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan.
Dr. Rowlety posted on social media “It was an honour to share in this beautiful important religious ceremony with the people of Sangre Grande and environs.”
Mr. Young meanwhile highlighted T&T’s cultural and religious diversity adding “Never take this for granted”.
He described it as a humbling and spiritual experience for which he was very grateful. “We must never allow divisiveness to take root in our society.”
