Police to patrol supermarkets to address clusters

Police will be visiting supermarkets, especially during this month-end weekend when there is likely to be more shoppers.

They will be working to address any issue of clusters at outlets generally, including gatherings that may be deemed high risk, where transmission of COVID is concerned.

This move was agreed upon yesterday when officials of the Supermarkets Association of T&T net with senior police officials.

The TTPS has supported the Association’s advisory to the public to limit the number of shoppers from any one family to one as far as practicable.

This is to ensure the volume of traffic at the stores is reduced, to limit the spread of the virus.
