Police are ramping up enforcement of road rules after recording a 26% increase in the road death toll.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Mobile, Joanne Archie says 82 persons have been killed on the nation’s roadways in 2019 compared to 65 at the same point last year.
She says many of the fatalities could have been avoided and laments that motorists continue to break laws.
ACP Archie says the TTPS will soon increase their efforts to penalize such motorists.
