Police release details of Curepe body discovery

Police have released details about the discovery of a dismembered body in Curepe yesterday.

It says around 8:20am, first responders on mobile patrol were alerted by a passer-by of a foul stench along the Southern Main Road.

Police cordoned off the area and, in a burnt bushy area, found decomposing human remains which did not appear to be that of a baby.

The limbs and head were all severed and piled together.

The corpse was removed and taken to the Forensic Sciences Centre in St James.
