The Police Commissioner is defending the decision to establish a Police Hospital from naysayers in social media.
Mr Gary Griffith says while the critics are asleep at 2am, hundreds of officers are patrolling the streets, attempting to keep citizens safe.
Some, he says, fall ill and on average 100 officers seek medical assistance daily.
He believes the hospital will ensure that they can get back on the street at night “to secure the same individuals who criticize.”
Mr Griffith reiterates that the building already exists and it simply requires an upgrade to make it more efficient.
