PMO: No restriction on sale of food at supermarkets, bakeries, vegetable stalls

There has been no restriction on the sale of food at supermarkets, bakeries and vegetable stalls according to the Principal Medical Officer.

Dr Maryam Abdool-Richards made this statement at today’s Health Ministry briefing in response to a question.

Dr Abdool-Richards did not reference a specific incident in her comments on the issue.

However, according to the T&T Guardian report, the sale of food at a grocery in Barataria was reportedly shut down by police this week.

The latest Public Health Regulations came into effect on May 3rd 2021.
