PM undergoes angioplasty; to be kept overnight for more observation


    The Prime Minister has undergone an angioplasty, a procedure defined by Johns Hopkins University as a measure to open blocked arteries.

    In a media release this afternoon, the Office of the PM says Dr Keith Rowley first underwent an angiogram before the procedure which is said to have went well.

    He will be kept for further observation overnight.

    Dr Rowley was hospitalized on Friday afternoon after experiencing some discomfort during the day.

    Government minister Stuart Young stated that the hospitalization was a “precautionary measure.”
