PM to begin working at Whitehall from Monday

The 32 million dollar restoration to Whitehall in Port of Spain has been completed, a decade after it was abandoned.

This Monday, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley plans to begin working out of Whitehall again, after the 115 year old building was officially responded last evening.

During the final year of Patrick Manning’s tenure as Prime Minister, the office of the Prime Minister was moved to its current St. Clair location.

Whitehall, then, had leak¬ing roofs and frag¬ile floors, making it a hazard to occupy.

The only Prime Minister not to work out of Whitehall was Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
