Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley returned from Barbados this morning, ahead of the flight cancellations due to the impending passage of Tropical Storm Dorian.
This has been confirmed by the Office Of the Prime Minister.
The PM had been in Barbados over the weekend, in meetings with Prime Minister Mia Mottley, as T&T signed an MOU with that country.
Many flights between islands are being cancelled today by LIAT and Caribbean Airlines.
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as Tropical Storm Dorian strengthens a little carrying winds of 95 km per hour.
It is currently just over 300 kilometers away from Barbados, and the storm is expected to strengthen as it enters the Caribbean Sea.
A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Dominica, Martinique, Grenada & its dependencies, Saba and St. Eustatius.
