Government is dismissing allegations made by the Opposition Leader about the sale of the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery.
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley this afternoon held a media briefing to respond the claims made by Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar on Monday night.
He refutes her allegation that government has another buyer for the facility despite being in negotiations with union owned company Patriotic Energies Company Limited.
Also, Dr Rowley says the company called Trafigura, which was named by the Opposition Leader on Monday, is Patriotic’s partner and not government’s.
Dr Rowley believes the Opposition Leader’s comments could bring grave consequences.
