PM on violence against women: I feel the pain too

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has raised the matter of PH taxis, as he today commented on the recent murder of Ashanti Riley.

The body of the 18-year-old was found yesterday, days after she went missing after boarding a private car to visit her grandmother.

There have also been questions raised about the death of Krystal Primus-Espinoza, whose body was found in Balandra this week.

During today’s media briefing, Dr Rowley was asked about her death, and concerns about the safety of women in T&T.

Dr Rowley then targeted PH taxis, saying the question before him now is what to do about them.

Dr Rowley also cast doubt on the possibility of pepper spray being legalized.
