Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has hit back at a recent newspaper editorial referencing issues relating to the DPP’s Office.
The piece published by the T&T Guardian stated that the DPP raised the matter of staff limitations and office space as he defended himself against recent allegations from the Prime Minister.
It also posited that the PM’s condemnation against the DPP followed the recent dismissal of cases involving former Attorney General Anand Ramlogan, attorney Gerald Ramdeen and former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday.
During a briefing held today, Dr Rowley condemned this assessment and called for an apology.
Dr Rowley also insisted that there was no scheme to remove the DPP from office.
