T&T can have a “little niche” role in the global cannabis industry.
That’s the belief of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley who was asked about the local industry, in light of the Cannabis Control Bill being debated in the Senate this week.
The bill seeks to provide for the regulatory control of the handling of cannabis for certain purposes and the establishment of the Cannabis Licensing Authority.
Questioned about T&T’s potential, Dr Rowley reminded that the country will be joining a large and established global industry.
Debate on Cannabis Control Bill is scheduled to resume in the Senate on Tuesday 17th May, 2022.
