PM – Cambridge Analytica issue not for political points

The Prime Minister insists the Cambridge Analytica allegations are not intended to score political points.

During a PNM meeting in Chaguanas last night, Dr Keith Rowley acknowledged claims regarding the timing of the State’s revelation.

However, reading a message from the Attorney General, he says Government became aware of the allegations over a year ago.

As such, Dr Rowley says the allegations are not related to the Local Government Election.

The UNC has denied any involvement with Cambridge Analytica, which is a data mining company.

The TTPS is seeking to investigate the claims leveled by former CA employee Christopher Wylie, starting with an interview with Mr Wylie himself.
