The Pfizer BioNTech vaccine could be the first COVID-19 jab approved for use in T&T.
Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh today revealed that while a few have been approved by other countries, only Pfizer has been approved by the WHO for the region.
He says other clearances must now follow.
Also today was PAHO/WHO representative Dr Erica Wheeler, who explained that the global rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine is different from other, previous vaccines.
She reminds that since there is a pandemic, vaccines are being given Emergency Use Listing.
