Two Pakistani brothers accused of killing their sister three years ago will remain behind bars.
This comes after their parents, in a bid to free them, told the court they had forgiven Waseem and Aslam Shaheen, who are on trial for the apparent ‘honour killing’.
Their sister, 26 year old Qandeel Baloch, was strangled in July 2016 and her murder shocked Pakistan and the wider world.
Her brother Waseem initially confessed saying she had brought shame on his family, but later changed his plea.
Six other men have been arrested in connection with the killing, while a seventh – believed to be another brother – has absconded.
