The matter between Petrotrin and the OWTU will continue in the Industrial Court today as scheduled.
This comes after Petrotrin was refused leave to challenge the decision to register the Memorandum of Agreement it signed with the union on April 3rd 2018.
The OWTU claims it did not even know about the submissions which were heard by Justice Gobin at 4:15pm yesterday.
The union is of the view that Petrotrin tried to subvert the judicial process by excluding it from the submission, but it says through adherence to the law, the Judge included the OWTU in the matter.
The OWTU believes this is an important victory and believes the company was attempting to delay the hearing of the Industrial Relations Offense, today and tomorrow.
