About 106 landslides were reported in Eastern and North Eastern parts of Tobago in November, including 36 major landslides.

The THA’s Division of Infrastructure says inclement weather is to blame, but assures that work continues to be done to remedy the situation.

At the moment, it says 25 major projects are continuing.

Infrastructure Secretary Kwesi Des Vignes adds that priority is being given to normalising life for those affected.

He is quoted as saying: “Management is working assiduously to allocate scarce resources to affected areas and therefore at this time we are encouraging the public to be patient.”
