One man has been held and a firearm seized, following the search of a businessman’s home in St. Clair, Port of Spain today by the TTPS Special Operations Response Team.
Police Commissioner Gary Griffith says thanked the public for giving information regarding possible illegal activity at the house, involving firearms and narcotics.
He says the relevant warrant was acquired in the search, which began just after 7am.
The search at the house is continuing at this time.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Griffith says the police will go after any person suspected to be involved in criminal activity, once information is received and verified.
He says due to this, there have been 27 death threats on his life, but he stated that will not deter his effort.
