No reports of action taken against No Man’s Land party-goers

A photo shared online on Saturday showing dozens of persons gathered at a beach, purportedly being No Man’s Land in Tobago, has raised concerns from the public regarding COVID-19 protocols.

However, there is no confirmation on when the photo was taken.

According to a report on the Guardian Newspaper, one boat owner whose vessel was used to carry persons to No Man’s Land said festivities went on uninterrupted by the police or Coast Guard.

The article added that Police Commissioner Gary Griffith said he saw the images however, as it was on a public beach, he said it was very difficult for police to pinpoint whether people are in groups of ten.

He said from the picture, people were not wearing masks, which he says is a ticketable offence, and something police can take action on.
