Nine in court for allegedly congregating at a parlour


    Nine persons, allegedly found congregating at a parlour in Sangre Grande, are due in court today charged with breaching the Public Health Regulations.

    The group was arrested sometime between 10:30am and 2pm on May 9th, 2021 at the establishment along Quash Trace.

    The persons are between the ages of 21 and 56 and are charged with breaching Section 3 (1) (b) – the limit of five persons on public gatherings.

    During the same exercise, officers arrested one additional person for littering a failing to wear a mask while seven other public health notices were issued.

    The TTPS is urging persons to follow the regulations to avoid unsafe behaviour and unnecessary fines.
