Nine of the 10 homeowners to be relocated to build the Curepe Interchange have settled on an agreement with Government.
Giving this update is Works Minister Rohan Sinanan who says they have agreed to the Commissioner of Valuation’s offer of 80% of their property’s value while negotiations continue.
This comes less than a month after the State announced its intention to put these owners out of possession of their properties.
Government claimed an amicable agreement could not be made.
Speaking in Senate today, Mr Sinanan says officials began preparing the cheques since last week.
