T&T has recorded its first COVID-19 death since December 5th 2020, with the toll moving to 123.
This has been confirmed by the Health Ministry’s daily update, which says the victim is an elderly man with preexisting medical conditions.
Meanwhile, the stats show six new cases being reported from samples taken between December 11th and 13th, 35 new recoveries and an active cases tally of 582.
There are 33 patients in hospital, 24 in step down facilities, 177 in the care of the prison and 341 in home self-isolation.
428 persons are in state quarantine facilities.
Since the start of the pandemic, T&T has recorded 6,885 positives and 6,180 recoveries.
