Disastrous – that’s how Mayaro MP Rushton Paray describes the state of the Mayaro-Guayaguayare Road.
The MP, in a media release, says he has written to Works Minister Rohan Sinanan on the matter.
Mr Paray says there are giant depressions along the road which could force a halt to commercial deliveries, deter emergency vehicles and cause an increase in taxi fares.
The MP believes the Mayaro-Guayaguayare Road is an example of neglect of rural communities.
He says he has requested an urgent meeting with Minister Sinanan to discuss immediate remedial works.
