MP for Mayaro Rushton Paray believes a protest this morning by drivers along the Manzanilla By-Pass Road was avoidable.
The by-pass was built after the original roadway was destroyed by last year’s floods.
MP Paray says the by-pass continues to deteriorate daily, causing damage to vehicles and posing a risk to public safety.
He claims to have been reaching out to authorities for weeks to start remedial works and is now calling on government to take immediate action.
