The Education Ministry is being criticized after a concrete slab fell and injured a student.
According to an article by the Trinidad Guardian, the incident occurred yesterday at the San Juan North Secondary School.
In response, Tabaquite MP Anita Haynes says there are now fierce public discussions around the state of school infrastructure.
The MP notes that she has raised the matter of school repairs several times before the full return to physical classes this term.
The Guardian’s article claimed that the Education Minister said work on the school should begin this month.
However, MP Haynes says this response is “too little, too late.”
