UNC MP Rudy Indarsingh is calling on the Government to draft a workplace vaccination policy that will guarantee the protection of both vaccinated and non-vaccinated workers.
It believes the draft must also be open for public discussion.
In a release, Mr Indarsingh says officials must be guided by international law and conventions which defend the rights of all people in the workplace.
He also criticized a call by Planning Minister Camille Robinson-Regis, for trade unions and other stakeholders to sit with her and discuss a workplace vaccination policy.
He dismissed this as a “tardy, insincere call” that must be rejected, adding that Government must instead do its work in protecting all persons and their right to decide for themselves.
