MP calls for explanation after court fines NCRHA

The NCRHA’s CEO is being called on to explain why the authority failed to comply with an Industrial Court ruling to reinstate an employee.

According to newspaper reports, the NCRHA was ordered to pay a $20,000 fine for not placing a senior manager back to his post, although this was agreed to in March.

The matter stems from a 2019 decision by the Public Services Association to take legal action after the employee was suspended with basic pay without disciplinary charges.

Calling for an explanation for the failure to reinstate the worker is UNC MP Rudranath Indarsingh who believes the NCRHA showed flagrant disregard for the court.
