The Tabaquite MP has written to WASA, asking for a meeting to discuss relief for users of the Guaracara/Tabaquite Road.
The roadway has been impacted by recurrent mudslides over the past three months and has eroded even more with recent rainfall.
According to Ms Anita Haynes, she has been told by Works Ministry officials that a spring at the top of the slope has to be capped by WASA before stabilization works can begin.
However, she claims that WASA officials have told her office that works related to natural water courses fall under the Works Ministry.
She is calling for a meeting this week to clarify the way forward as she says the matter is one of public safety.
