Montserrat retains local company to develop island’s tourism plan


    Local company Tourism Intelligence International has been retained by Montserrat to develop the island’s Tourism Strategy for the period 2019 to 2022.

    This new plan will be used to attract financial assistance for the implementation of a series of development projects.

    Montserrat currently welcomes nearly 10,000 stayover visitors – double its current population.

    It has the only buried city in the Caribbean; having survived devastating volcanic eruptions.

    Director of Tourism Intelligence International Dr. Auliana Poon, Managing, claims that the volcano and its aftermath are what makes Montserrat an attractive and exciting destination.
