Works to repair several landslips in parts of South Trinidad will commence between the end of this year and early 2024.

The confirmation comes from Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan, who was responding to questions posed by Princes Town MP Barry Padarath in Parliament this afternoon.

The Minister says there are five landslips along Garth Road, Williamsville, which are being addressed by the Highways Division and the PURE Unit.

Mr Sinanan says the Ministry will address a landslip along Robert Village Trace in Tableland once funding permits, and assistance can be provided to the Princes Town Regional Corporation if requested.

And concerning landslides at # 83 Brothers Road, Busy Corner, New Grant, the Minister says two repair projects are in planning stages and a competitive tendering process will be used to select a contractor at the end of fiscal 2023 or early 2024.
