The Health Minister assures there is a back-up plan for T&T’s Health System, as the number of persons being admitted to hospital for COVID-19 continues to grow.
On April 1st there were 23 persons in hospital, however following a spike in cases, there are now 152 patients.
This morning, Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram gave a breakdown of the hospital figures.
When asked about a back-up plan with regard to hospital space, Mr Deyalsingh reminded that there are other facilities that can be used.
Dr Parasram also gave a breakdown of active cases by county, with Victoria containing the most.
Also, according to the CMO, the current seven day rolling average is 116.
