Persons should do their own personal risk assessment before going to fetes and other events.
This was the response of Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh, when asked today about recent parties in which attendees often did not wear masks.
He spoke during the Health Ministry’s COVID-19 briefing.
And, given the Minister’s comment that persons do not necessarily have to wear a mask at such events, questions were then raised as to why masks are still required in public, at schools and in certain other spaces.
Mr. Deyalsingh also urged persons to be vigilant when it comes to monkeypox, saying while a case has not yet been confirmed in T&T, caution is still needed.
