Minister calls for fresh air in maxi taxis

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has called on maxi taxi operators to ensure fresh air is circulating in their vehicles, and not air conditioning.

This is essential at this time during the fight against the spread of COVID-19, here in Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr. Deyalsingh was speaking today at a media briefing to announce 40 additional cases of the coronavirus, all of whom returned to Trinidad on March 17th from a Cruise.

And, Minister Stuart Young says social distancing practices will be done on board the inter-island ferries which continue to operate.

Despite the plan to close all flights into T&T, Minister Young says this does not affect travel between both islands via air or ferry.
