Employees of Methanex Trinidad Limited have donated 30 laptops to the Education Ministry’s Adopt-a-School programme.
The devices were purchased using money raised through a fundraiser, and were handed over today by Rudo Trotman and Juliana Pierre.
According to Ms Pierre, employees had the opportunity to donate the full or partial cost of a device or participate in competitions that allowed them to win a device for donation.
The laptops will now be distributed to 17 institutions across the country.
The Education Ministry did not reveal the names of the recepient schools.
