Near-normal rainfall has been forecast for August to October 2021 across Trinidad and Tobago.
This is according to the Met Office’s latest Rainfall and Temperature Outlook.
It says August is likely to be the wettest month with above normal totals which can produce heavy rainfall days and heighten concerns for potential flooding.
For August to October, both day and night temperatures are forecast to be much warmer and this suggests heightened concerns for persons with heat-sensitive ailments, vulnerable persons and heat-stress in livestock and young and transplanted crops.
Looking further ahead, the Met Office says November 2021 to January 2022 is likely to receive much more rainfall than usual.
