Mayor: Chaguanas Market closed as vendor tests COVID-positive

    The Chaguanas Market has been closed after a vendor tested positive for COVID-19, according to the borough’s Mayor.

    In a Facebook post, Mayor Faaiq Mohammed says the positive diagnosis came in on Saturday.

    He says that the market will be sanitized and the County Medical Officer of Health will guide officials on the facility’s reopening.

    He assures that the borough is taking all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of its burgesses.
