Mayaro MP laments mobile service disruptions in South East Trinidad

Mayaro MP Rushton Paray says mobile communications provided by TSTT have been seriously disrupted in the area over the past few weeks, further isolating the communities of South East Trinidad.

According to the MP, while TSTT has attributed the collapse of its service to cable thieves, it has not outlined any measures or plans to deal with this challenging issue.

He also accuses the TTPS of having little impact on the situation, with some perpetrators brazenly operating in broad daylight.

Mr Paray says the disruption of this crucial service has adversely affected functions and services at State offices, financial institutions and other private sector operations, schools, retail facilities, and related activities.

He adds that written correspondence has been sent to Public Utilities Minister Marvin Gonzales asking for his immediate and effective intervention.
