A Tobago man has been ordered to stay away from his common-law wife after being charged with several offences against her.
On December 8th, the 41-year-old woman told police that the accused attacked her at her home at Tank Road, Signal Hill Road.
After quarrelling about her whereabouts, he allegedly hit her several times with a cutlass, tried to stab her with a scissors, choked her and broke her phone when she tried to call for help.
41-year-old Dwayne Roberts-Greene was granted $75,000 bail when he appeared before a Scarborough Magistrate yesterday charged with two counts of common assault, larceny and attempted choking with intent.
He was also ordered to move out of the shared residence and to stay 100 feet away from his common-law wife at all times
He will reappear in court on January 5th 2021.
