185 tablets and 15 laptops have been donated to the Adopt-A-School Initiative by the Machel Montano Foundation for Greatness in collaboration with Blue Waters and Courts.
These will be distributed to four schools, three of which hold special significance to the Montano family – Carenage Girls’ situated in the village where Mr Montano, his brother and mother were born; Siparia Boys’ R.C., where Mr. Montano and his brother Marcus attended primary school; and Toco Secondary, which lies in a community where Mr Montano is very active.
The fourth school is the Macaulay Government Primary School in Gasparillo, and was selected by Blue Waters.
According to the Education Ministry, the Foundation was the first entity to pledge its support following the announcement of the initiative.
