The St Augustine Medical Laboratory will offer RT-PCR COVID-19 testing at the Piarco International Airport.
103.1FM News understands the facility will be located on the first floor in the Atrium at Piarco International Airport.
The Airports Authority says opening hours will be tailored to suit airport flight schedules in order to facilitate interested passengers.
The tests will cost $1,100 TTD or $160 USD, with results to be generated within 24 hours of sample collection.
Additionally, for those requiring molecular based testing that is not specific to RT-PCR, the Authority says Rapid Molecular Testing will be recommended.
This result will be generated within 80 minutes of sample collection, at a cost of $800 TTD or $120 USD.
The Authority says travellers or members of the public must make appointments to access testing services by calling 663-2387 or emailing STAMLPiarco@gmail.com.
It adds that testing will also be available “very soon” at the ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago.
