JTUM to gov’t: Let independent panel assess your COVID stats

A call has been made for an independent panel of experts to be established to examine T&T’s COVID-19 statistics.

It comes from the Joint Trade Union Movement who has made this request in a letter delivered to the Attorney General this morning.

According to JTUM President Ancel Roget, if government wants to implement the policy of furloughing unvaccinated public servants, then their statistics must be examined independently.

JTUM’s letter also reiterated earlier concerns and questions about the policy and queried whether there is a motive behind it, other than vaccination.

Meanwhile, Mr Roget called on public servants to show up to the jobs come Monday morning, regardless of vaccination status.

He said the unions would be outside the various offices taking reports on what transpires and will prepare their legal response.
