The Joint Chambers of Business in T&T met with the Police Complaints Authority recently to discuss measures and solutions related to detection and crime fighting.
This, as it says violent crime, continues to spiral out of control and is the single biggest deterrent to investment in, and to doing business in Trinidad and Tobago.
Among the discussions were body and vehicle cameras for police officers, strengthening the witness protection programme, and adherence to the one door policy for the reporting of incidents to the police.
The Joint Chambers state that they hope to meet with the Police Commissioner, the Government and other agencies to find solutions that result in greater citizen security and an improved business environment.
