Jail time for gun, ammo offences

    A San Fernando man charged with possession of a firearm was sentenced to seven years’ hard labour.

    The TTPS says 33-year-old Reuel Cardinal was also sentenced to seven years’ hard labour for possession of ammunition and two years’ hard labour for possession of cannabis.

    The accused was arrested during an exercise in San Fernando on April 18th, after officers searched his home and found a firearm outfitted with a magazine and 13 rounds of ammunition and 457 grams of marijuana valued at $9,000.

    He was charged and appeared before San Fernando Magistrate Anslem Leander today,
