Jail for breaching curfew to get food


    A 23-year-old unemployed Point Fortin man has pleaded guilty to breaching the curfew to get food.

    John Ala Troy-Pascal was held around 9:45pm on Tuesday, in the the vicinity of Moses John Avenue.

    He was reportedly walking along the street and told patrol officers that he was going to get something to eat.

    He appeared virtually before Point Fortin Magistrate Alicia Chankar yesterday and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with hard labour.
