Inspector reveals reduction in murders in Southern Division


    Murders in the Southern Division have decreased by 7% this year.

    This is according to the statistics of Inspector Subhash Ramkhelawan whose division includes ten police stations in Barrackpore, Gasparillo, Marabella, Mon Repos, Princes Town, San Fernando, St. Margaret’s, St. Mary’s, Ste. Madeline and Tableland.

    He says there were 5 less murders in the division.

    Meanwhile, officers are working closely with the Homicide Bureau and the public to further increasing the number of solved homicides.

    Inspector Ramkhelawan notes several suspects have been identified and charged and others are being pursued.
