Following the cancellation of a $71m housing contract between the HDC and a Chinese firm, Government says the HDC deals with its own contractual affairs.

It was recently revealed that the contract with China Gezhouba Group International did not get Government’s approval, despite it being signed in May 2019.

Acting Prime Minister Colm Imbert was today asked in Parliament, whether the deal was scrutinized by the Attorney General.

Mr Imbert says discussions are now underway to find a resolution to the contractual issue.
